What I'm Loving this Week

1. My new Toy Watch

Thanks to Santa for bringing me this fab watch, and to my friend Brittany for the inspiration.

2. Painted fingernails

I finally take the time to paint my own nails! My favorite winter colors are "You don't know Jacque" and "Midnight in Moscow".

3. The Black Keys

Thanks to my friend Mason for telling me about these guys! I bought Robert the "Brothers" album (yes, we still buy cd's) for Christmas. The whole album is great! I can't wait to see them live.

4. Clinique high lengths mascara

This stuff is a-mazing! I still use Voluminous too, of course, but this mascara definitely makes a difference.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Top Ten of 2010

Well, my first year as a blogger is gone and my goal for 2011 is to improve my blogging skills!
Let's start the new year by counting down some of our favorite memories of 2010.

10. Saints Super Bowl Win

Who Dat?! Who Dat?! What a way to start the year!
I'm already terribly anxious about our playoff game this Saturday!

9. Sugar's First Birthday

My sweet little puppy turned 1 in July! Sugar is not only my first dog, but I really feel like she is our first child. She really completed our family. We love our spoiled little fur baby!

8. Robert's 30th Birthday

We had another special birthday this year. Robert turned the big 3-0! He is all grown up, and I am so lucky that I get to spend forever with this amazing man.

7. First 5k
Ally and I did it! We put our mind to it and ran our first 5k in April. Up next, a 5 mile this month and a 10k in the spring.

6. Lee Family NOLA Weekend

Robert and I love live music. Elizabeth gave us an awesome Christmas gift in 2009 - tickets to the Eric Clapton show in NOLA for the whole family. What's better than good music and family?! The show was amazing and the weekend was so fun!

5. Christmas
Christmas will always be in my top ten favorite memories of the year. I love the holidays!!
Mom and I in our aprons cooking dinner. We celebrated with my parents on the 23rd with a Mexican fiesta! I guess we should have gotten dad and Robert in the photo!
Our Lee family Christmas photo! We celebrated in Pascagoula on Christmas day with the whole Lee and Logan clans!

4. 10 Year High School Reunion

My 10 year high school reunion was in October. Yeah, I can't believe I am that old either. It was an amazing time! WJH Class of 2000 is awesome and I am ready for the next one!

3. Allyson's Wedding

What could be better than being a part of the happiest day of your best friend's life?! 2010 was full celebrations for Allyson and Dave and we had so much fun at all of them.

2. Our 2 year Anniversary

We aren't newlyweds anymore! We always heard that the first two years are the hardest. If that's the case, we've got this whole marriage thing made!

Drum Roll Please....

1. Robert's Graduation!

Surprise, Surprise! We have been waiting for this day for two and a half years. It was almost surreal. He's done and we cannot wait to see where 2011 takes us!

We hope this year brings everyone lots of love, good health and happiness!

Robert Lee, MSN, ACNP

A sincere thank you to everyone who has said a prayer for Robert over the last 2.5 years. All of his HARD work paid off and he did it, he is done, he graduated! We are all so proud of him.

Now he just needs one more prayer when boards come around!
In other exciting news, Robert turned the big 3-0 this past weekend! We enjoyed a great weekend full of celebrations!

I'm really looking forward to the Christmas Eve service at church. Christmas songs give me goosebumps, so I usually have chills the entire hour long candlelight service. It's truly touching. I really hope everyone takes the time to read the real Christmas story over the holidays. From the Lee family to yours, hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Robert had to work the night before and after Thanksgiving so we decided to cook at our house this year! We invited my parents and grandmother and had a great time. Here is Robert's first attempt at baking a turkey.

I was so hungry by the time it was done that I forgot to take a picture of the finished product! Let me tell you though, it was divine! He did great!!
It seems that the Christmas season came so fast this year! We usually trim the tree together, but this year I decorated while Robert did homework. Story of my life recently, right?!

Our Southern Miss/Saints Tree

Lee Christmas Tree 2010 (complete with our sideways star)

New ornament - I'm nice and Robert is naughty! Remember that Santa!

I love the lion - he is Sir Fidel, Sigma and Leo all in one!

Our annual Laurel Girls Christmas party was last weekend. We had a fabulous time as always! I hate I didn't get a better picture.

Some exciting things are happening soon!
  • Robert and I are doing the Advent reading/candle lighting at church tomorrow. Cross your fingers we don't catch something on fire!
  • Robert heads to Mobile on Sunday for his last week of schoolwork ever!
  • Next week is the last week of my 8 week bootcamp at Versus! I'm obsessed and will definitely be doing another.
  • Robert GRADUATES next Friday!
  • Robert turns the Big 3-0 next Sunday!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Remember the real reason for the season!
